BrassRing.com Selected as "Most Job-Seeker Friendly Site" in WEDDLE's User's Choice Awards Competition
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - March 11, 2002 - BrassRing LLC, the largest provider of Talent Relationship Management (TRM) systems and innovative eRecruiting services, today announced that its technology-focused career board, BrassRing.com, the leading career board for technology-related jobs and tech career event information, has won a WEDDLE's User's Choice Award as the "Most Job-Seeker Friendly" Specialty Site. The awards honor excellence in online job sites as judged by HR practitioners, recruiters and job seekers.
This is the first-ever WEDDLE's User's Choice Awards competition, which is conducted by WEDDLE's,a research and publishing firm specializing in online employment resources, and sponsored by Bernard Hodes Group, a recruitment communications and staffing solutions provider. The competition is the only opportunity for HR professionals and job seekers to vote for their top online picks. Online voting occurred from January 1 to December 31, 2001, on the WEDDLE's web site, www.weddles.com/awards.
"The WEDDLE's User's Choice Award means a lot to BrassRing because it's voted on by the users," said Robin Rasmussen, president of BrassRing Sourcing, a division of BrassRing. "Being selected as the 'Most Job-Seeker Friendly' site is especially meaningful because it says we're succeeding at reaching our target audience with a user-friendly site that provides a valuable resource to recruiters and candidates."
Winners were selected among both general purpose and specialty sites in these categories: best overall, best customer service for recruiters, best information for job seekers, most "recruiter friendly," and most "job seeker friendly." More than 5,000 ballots were cast.
"The Internet is the most important advancement in employment since the resume," said publisher Peter Weddle, "but with more than 40,000 such sites available, it's very hard to know which sites offer the best service. That's what the WEDDLE's User's Choice Awards are all about. They put the real users, rather than pundits and professional critics, in the driver's seat on the Information Superhighway."
The American Staffing Association has called Peter Weddle the "Zagat" of the online employment industry for his advertising-free publications on web sites for recruiters and job seekers.
In addition to the Weddles User's Choice Award and CAREERXROADS Awards in 2002 and 2001, BrassRing has been named to Forbes Magazine's Best-of-the-Web directory, Upside's 2001 Hot 100 List of Privately Held Companies, IDC's list of the Top 10 eRecruiting providers, and Information Week's Top 100 ASPs. Last year, BrassRing was awarded HR Executive's Top 10 New Products of 2000, and earned first place in the 2000 HR Technology Conference Electronic Recruiting Shootout.
