WALTHAM, MA - April 18, 2006 - BrassRing (www.brassring.com), a global leader in talent management solutions, today announces that its seventh annual BrassRing Summit 2006 will be held May 10-12, 2006 at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. This year’s Summit theme is Lead. Compete. Succeed. and sessions will focus on how clients can successfully address strategic recruitment and talent management challenges and trends in a constantly changing global marketplace.

The annual BrassRing Summit is an opportunity for BrassRing clients, partners, HR industry experts and thought leaders to network and share their knowledge and experience on a variety of topics including globalization; the evolving role of the recruiter; best-of-breed HR technology; candidate attraction; how to achieve peak performance from a recruiting operation; workforce planning; talent pool development and management, and more. In addition to informative sessions on the latest innovations in talent management technology and services from BrassRing, over 32 educational sessions within four tracks -- Recruiting Innovation; Practice Leadership; Success Strategies; and Technology Optimization -- will be delivered by BrassRing clients in three days.

A sampling of sessions to be presented by BrassRing clients includes:

“Each year the BrassRing Summit provides HR professionals with the opportunity to step outside of our everyday routine and learn what it takes to leverage HR to bring our organizations to the next level,” says Lauren Levine, Director of Recruitment Operations for Time Warner. “With our hiring needs growing and the talent pool shrinking, we need access to the technology and best practices that will enable us to populate our talent pool with top-notch candidates. By holding this Summit, BrassRing takes their customer service and dedication one step further by ensuring we’re getting the expertise and insight we need to be successful in our recruiting efforts.”

Attending the Summit are BrassRing clients representing a broad range of industries, including Aerospace and Defense; Automotive and Transportation Equipment; Banking and Financial Services; Biotechnology/ Pharmaceutical; Business Services; Chemicals; Computer Software and Services; Consumer Products; Education; Electronics; Energy/Utilities; Food and Beverage; Health Products and Services; Insurance; Media/Entertainment; Manufacturing; Retail/Wholesale; and, Telecommunications.

This year’s first-day Summit keynote will be delivered by internationally-recognized metrics expert John Boudreau, PhD, Professor of Management and Organization, and Research Director of the Center for Effective Organizations (CEO) at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California. He is known for his breakthrough research on the bridge between superior human capital and sustainable competitive advantage. Boudreau’s presentation, “The Trick to HR Measurement – Its Not Just the Numbers,” will address the paradox facing HR and business leaders today - the bigger threat to ineffective HR measurement isn't a lack of measures, it's information overload. Boudreau will discuss how disciplines such as Finance and Marketing have found that logic, analytics, and knowledge management processes are the key to driving change with measures, and will explore how to apply these insights in the arena of Human Resources.

Lou Adler, recruiting industry expert, best-selling author (Hire With Your Head that introduced performance-based hiring and selection to the world), influential speaker, columnist, and president of the Adler Group, will deliver the keynote address during the second day of the Summit. In his presentation “In Search of the Perfect Candidate” Adler will discuss how the search for the perfect candidate becomes a never-ending one unless the definition of perfection is changed – which does not mean lowering hiring standards. Adler will make the case that hiring the best people requires three structural changes: redefining success, strengthening the relationship between the hiring team and the recruiters involved, and ensuring that the hiring decision itself is based on facts and logic – not biases and perceptions.

“Implementing and maintaining an effective recruitment strategy now and in the future will require not just technology, but also equal measures of vision, planning and execution. The companies that will win the ‘global war for talent’ will be those that use technology and market knowledge to successfully build and maintain talent pools to support their growth and expansion plans,” says Deb Besemer, president and CEO, BrassRing. “This event places such a high level of emphasis on our client’s experiences because their successes are an excellent representation of what can be achieved when organizations work with a talent management partner like BrassRing.”
